Welcome to the very first issue of The YouEvangelized Report!

I want to thank you for signing up to receive these evangelism encouragements, tips, and ministry updates.

When I started this ministry 21 years ago, I did it because I wanted to tell others about Jesus and train other believers to do the same. That is still the mission.

I want to be your evangelism coach. My goal is to give you the knowledge you need to reach your loved ones for Christ.

We can grow together and reach even more people with the Gospel.

Heartfelt Encouragement: You Aren’t the Savior

Many times we stay silent because we feel a lot of pressure. There are many reasons for this.

We may think we must have the perfect answer for every hard question. We wonder: Did we fail if the person doesn't believe right away?

What if we upset them? Did we turn them against God even more?

But here is a truth we already know:
You are not the one who saves people—Jesus is!

Our calling isn't to produce results or "close the deal." We are not "selling Jesus." Our calling is simply to be faithful.

Matthew 25:21 says, “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’”

We do our part; the Holy Spirit does the rest.

Take a deep breath today and remember—the pressure is off! You may never see the full picture of what He’s doing through your faithfulness, but that doesn’t mean He isn’t working.

One Practical Tip: Make Contact

If you’re not already doing so, begin to step out of your comfort zone.

When you are in public, look someone in the eye, smile, and say: "Hi," "Hello," or "It sure is cold today!"

Just say something.

This helps you move into someone else’s world. People are often surprised when someone is friendly; they might be too surprised to answer right away. Keep working at this.

The more you casually and kindly insert yourself into another person’s life, the easier it gets.

Once you get comfortable with that, start keeping the conversation going longer. It doesn't have to be about spiritual things yet; just learn how to interact with strangers. We’ll add more to this next month.
